How to use Tahitian Vanilla Bean?
Using sharp knife, stabbing down on the top of bean then slowly cut to the bottom.
Removing Vanilla seeds from the pod by scrape with the knife back side.
Using Vanilla bean for Food & Beverage – Coffee, Cookies, Cakes, cocktails and etc.
Making own vanilla extract is also common.

How the farm dries our Tahitian Vanilla Bean?
Our Tahitian Vanilla Beans are naturally dried by sun
the sun for good air circulation minimum 2 hours a day
They take the vanilla bean indoors if it is raining, cold temperature and at night to prevent moisture from collecting on the vanilla bean.
The actual drying time is about 9 months

Short history
Majority of belief, Vanilla Beans are from the east coast of Mexico.
In the 15th century, Mexico had developed a taste for vanilla beans and shipped to Spain.
In the 1520s, Spanish is the one who offer vanilla to Europe.
In the 1762, Germany found that impotence can be cured by a medication which based on vanilla extract.
In the early 1780, the French added vanilla flavor to ice cream.
In the mid-19th century, Mexico was the biggest producer of vanilla.
In 1805, Suggested vanilla to be added in chocolate. the first vanilla ice cream in USA is found.
In 1806, Charles Greville’s plant collection in London featured the first vanilla orchid to flower in Europe.
In 1819, French entrepreneurs shipped vanilla fruit to the island of reunion and Mauritius.
In 1841 later, the tropical orchids were sent to the Comoros Island, Seychelles, and Madagascar.
In 1898, the Comoros Island, Seychelles, and Madagascar produced Vanilla Beans 200 Metric tons which was 80% of Vanilla worldwide production in that year.

There are over 150 species of Vanilla, Vanilla Beans have globally 3 major species though.
1. V. planifolia which’s majority grown in Madamgascar and the Indian ocean area.
2. V. tahitensis which is grown in the south pacific.
3. V. pompona which is found in Central America, South America and the West indies.

Tahitian Vanilla Bean VS Madagascar Vanilla Bean
Tahitian VANILLA BEAN is hybrid between planifolia and odorata, making their own scene more delicate and stronger.
Tahitian Vanilla Bean is more difficult to find than Madagascar Vanilla Bean.
Shape: Shorter and Broader than Madagascar Vanilla Bean
Flavor: natural aroma flower sweet taste,
Scene: Flower aroma, Fruit, Cherry, Anise
Heat: More sensitive than Madagascar Vanilla Bean. Short bake or No baking would be better.
Use: desert, food, beverage and the most used in perfume products,
Madagascar Vanilla Bean is grown from planifolia which is native to Mexico and Central America.
Madagascar Vanilla Bean is much easier to find than Tahitian Vanilla Bean.
Shape: Longer than Tahitian Vanilla Bean
Flavor: Raisin, Dried fruit
Scene: Flower aroma, Cherry, Anise
Use: More common in desert & foodstuff.
